Senior IT Technical Specialist
Working as a Senior Network Security Engineer in the Global Arab Bank IT, responsibilities include but are
not limited to putting plans that aim to enhance the Arab Bank network (Globally) in terms of security,
performance, and flexibility, design and implement network control mechanisms that serve to control
users' access to the global network, conducting studies, and researches. Performing project supervision
either remotely or by going on business trips. As well as working with vendors and partners on new projects,
plus providing support, troubleshooting, and installing new boxes for Arab bank global sites.

Acting as a part time networking engineer, my responsibilities include providing network design,
implementation, and configuration of acquired projects; including routing, switching, security, and wireless
aspects as adequate to customer needs and requirements. Plus providing after sale technical support and
troubleshooting. Additionally, I take part in testing and partial development of security related aspects for
SmartMIB network management software suit.

accounts in terms of designing, planning and implementing proposed solutions for newly acquired accounts.

Cisco Systems VPN TAC team leader
As the VPN team leader I was Responsible for managing VPN team affairs within the TAC organization,
along side handling TAC service requests, I had other tasks including but not limited to:
- Assigning and conducting training for newly joining members.
- Organizing team activities.
- Scheduling team shifts and vacations as required.
- Handling team member's escalation service requests.
- Organizing and conducting team case review meetings as needed.
Working as a Cisco Systems TAC Engineer; Specializing in Cisco's Security and VPN technologies (PIX
and ASA firewall, IOS firewall and various Cisco VPN solutions' devices) and in Wireless technologies
(both short and long distance); I was responsible for providing consultation to independently solve problems
in broad, complex, and unique networks with mixed media and protocols. I also provided systems/product
training both internally and externally and intellectual property material for both security and VPN
technologies for newly joining TAC engineers, acting as a focal point for large account network problem
resolution.
Using my technical expertise in more than one area; I have effectively utilized lab setups to debug broad and
complex problems and provided input to Cisco's internal engineering and product organizations on future
product development. I have verified and reported defects to Cisco Business Units and to Cisco high level
escalation engineers.
Acting as the focal point for problem resolution, I was responsible for handling delicate and high priority
situations with customers requiring proper customer handling and communication, customer account
entitlement handling, and customer interaction.
I was responsible for setting up and maintaining a fully functional LAB for various tasks used for various
LAB and customer reproductions, various routing, switching and security scenarios were applied inside the
LAB, which had a very flexible topology including core and access switches, ADSL to modular routers, PIX
and ASA firewalls, VPN concentrators, AAA servers, web, FTP and different types of services to fully meet
the reproduction requirements.
