Supported 112 US Army National Guard Armories across North Carolina with IT support and
break fix solutions. Proficient with Microsoft System Management Software tools (SMS).
Administer SMS using domain admin privileges to update all recommended patches released
from Microsoft Corporation. All client computers had Windows XP Professional installed on
them with the Enterprise version of MacAfee security software loaded to prevent malware,
spyware, viruses or Trojans from infecting the XP machines. Used SMS to push down security
updates from MacAfees server from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. when the network had the least amount of
traffic. Each XP computer had to be turned on logged off and the NIC configuration was set to
PXE and of course connected to the internet. Monthly maintenance was performed using SMS
to update the standard load of system software using the most current ghost image.
One of eight Onsite Break Fix Techs that travelled across the State for IT support for 5000
users. Used remote desktop to connect to remote users to troubleshoot before driving onsite to
the location in North Carolina. Normal problems stem from Network connectivity issues of
Cisco router port which needed to be reconfigured and use another port on router. Leased
circuit lines from AT&T or MCI would go down and direct communication with the carrier
was coordinated. Username/password, account lockout, malware, spyware, conflict with
software drivers and hardware driver updates.
