Some of the world's most distinguished and experienced Cisco Certified Internetwork Experts (CCIEs) form new consultancy, Platinum Solutions Group

Platinum Solutions GroupIPexpert, one of the most successful independent training firms providing self-study multimedia learning tools and classroom training preparing computer networking engineers for the highest-level career certification offered by Cisco Systems; the CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert), has launched a new division that will focus on high-end Cisco consulting services, Platinum Solutions Group.

Wayne LawsonAccording to IPexpert and now new Platinum founder Wayne Lawson:

"Our team consists of some of the world's most experienced technical experts. It's a natural evolution as we're consistently asked to provide guidance and assistance to our students and their network design teams. We're excited to offer a level of service that most consulting companies can't match because of our high-end focus within the CCIE training space."

Platinum Solutions Group (PSG) will provide high-end consultative services for small to medium-sized businesses as well as enterprise-size corporations. Its services will include planning, designing, implementing, support, and optimization of large-scale intra, and internetworks and PSG will also provide training for its clients who require customized education.

Interestingly, PSG's main consultative efforts will focus on the following 4 key areas:

  1. Data Center Virtualization
  2. Network Security
  3. Service Provider
  4. Unified Communications
It's my personal opinion that PSG's main consultative efforts above dovetail nicely with the results revealed below in Cisco's February 2010 Worldwide CCIE Survey:
  • 67% foresee virtualization as the top networking investment area.
  • 40% believe virtualization was one of the biggest trends over the past 5 years.
  • 56% expect network architecting skills to be in high demand over the next 5 years.
  • 33% expect network and information security breaches to remain a top concern of CIOs.
  • 24% believe network security will remain at the forefront of networking strategy over the next few years.
  • 64% agree that security and risk management will be the networking skills in greatest demand over the next 5 years.
  • 77% cited IP telephony as the single biggest trend in networking over the past 5 years.
  • 47% believe unified communications will be a leading networking industry trend over the next 5 years.
  • 30% expect the complexities of accommodating the needs of a highly collaborative, global workforce to be a top CIO concern over the next 5 years.
Based on IPexpert's success detailed below on the Inc. 500 List, PSG appears to be starting-off with a strong pedigree:
