Cisco inadvertently reveals never before seen FY11 product revenue results

Cisco's FY11 Linksys and application networking services revenue appear to be total disasters!

Thu, 11/10/11 - 3:56pm    View comments

CiscoInadvertently, yesterday Cisco's newly reorganized product category revenue reporting scheme provided a previously unopened window from which to view 5 separate and very distinct Cisco FY11 product revenue results, none of which have ever been revealed before by Cisco.

One way to clean up a mess is to create an even bigger mess!

And it's my opinion that's exactly what Cisco has done with its newly reorganized product category revenue scheme.

Tellingly, Cisco previously reorganized its product category revenue scheme just a mere year ago too.

Breakout of Cisco's FY11 storage, Linksys/Pure Digital, application networking services, emerging technologies and optical/other revenue that have never before been seen:

Cisco's Sales
(in millions)
Q1'FY11 Q2'FY11 Q3'FY11 Q4'FY11 FY11 TOTAL
Storage $138 $190 $181 $184 $693
Linksys/Pure Digital 222 272 162 123 779
Application Networking Services 99 59 31 25 214
Emerging Technologies 9 86 98 129 322
Optical/Other 373 247 290 285 1,195
