Cisco's rumored to be in negotiations to purchase hyperconvergence software vendor Springpath.
It appears (according to the rumor) that Cisco believes Springpath will provide it with a "big leap" over competitors, Simplivity and Nutanix.
Springpath was funded by Sequoia partner, Jim Goetz.
Sequoia has a long history of selling its portfolio companies to Cisco.
Heck, it was just a mere 2-months ago that The Register was speculating Cisco would purchase Springpath.
