Rumor Cisco cloud web security (ScanSafe) going end-of-life (EOL) imminently

"Cisco's cloud strategy seems to have failed and instead moving to simply hosting boxes in a datacenter for customers. A model IronPort/WSA tried for email which led to tremendous losses for the company."

Received the following rumor:

CiscoScanSafe"The Cisco Cloud Web Security (CWS) product is going to go end-of-life and it will be announced in the next several weeks (with support extended out to several years).

"It will be replaced with a UTM based cloud product, integrating ASA, Sourcefire, and the WSA/IronPort product. Combining such successful solutions makes sense and Cisco had only recently merged the ScanSafe/WSA TAC teams under a single manager per region, most likely in anticipation of the CWS product being EOL in favor of a appliance based cloud product.
