Ownership of the notorious CCIE Agent recruiting trademark is in question

I believe ownership of the notorious CCIE Agent™
recruiting trademark is in question.
And why do I believe that?
Well, because the trademark electronic search system (TESS) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office reveals in the "screenshot" below that as of January 29, 2011 the notorious CCIE Agent™ recruiting trademark has been abandoned for more than 2-years:
However most intriguingly and puzzlingly, at least according to TESS at the U.S. Trademark Office, it currently appears that the CCIE Agent™ recruiting trademark is now owned by CCIE #5244 (R&S) - Wayne Lawson, as of October 25, 2010.
Lawson (as you may recall), is well-known in the CCIE community as the owner of the Michigan-based CCIE consulting and staffing firm, Platinum Solutions Group (PSG) as well as owner of the world-famous CCIE training provider IPexpert (with over 1,700 individuals having earned their CCIE certifications at IPexpert).
Surprisingly, at least in my opinion, the individual who abandoned the notorious CCIE Agent™ recruiting trademark more than 2-years ago is still promoting the trademark on multiple websites across the Internet.
